Subject: 2004 – 2005 Football Playoff Games
At the July 7, 2004 District 9 Committee meeting, the following football playoff format was unanimously approved: After the August 11th District 9 Committee meeting, details of the tournament will be provided.
“A” Playoff Format:
Maximum number of teams: 8 (eight)
Selection process: The highest ranked “A” team from the Allegany Mountain Conference and the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference will earn the first or second seeds in the tournament. Each conference will determine the process for their highest seeded team.
The next six (6) teams will be selected on their winning percentage based on all games played.
Seeding process: The first and second place seeds (highest ranked teams from A.M.L. and the K.S.A.C.) will be determined by:
Winning percentage
Head to head competition
District 9 power rating system
Gardner point system
Coin toss
The third through eighth seeds will be determined by:
Winning percentage
Head to head competition
District 9 power rating system

District game dates: First round games: November 5 or 6
Semi-final games: November 12 or 13
Championship games: November 19 or 20
District games locations: First round games: Higher seeded team
Semi-final games: Higher seeded team
