DISTRICT 9 FOOTBALL

PLAYOFF GAME PROCEDURES AND

INFORMATION

DATES, TIMES, and GAME SITES:

            The dates, time, and sites for playoff contests are found on the bracket page of this memo.

 

CANCELLATION and OR POSTPONEMENT:

            The cancellation, postponement, and/or rescheduling of a playoff game must be approved by the District 9 Football Committee.

 

CONCESSIONS:

            The host school or organization shall be responsible for the operation of the concessions and shall retain all profit.

 

PROGRAMS:

            The host school or organization shall be responsible for preparing and arranging for the sale of programs and shall retain all profit.  Information to develop a game program can be found on the Maxpreps website. (www.maxpreps.com)

 

MEDIA:

            All media with proper identification will be admitted free.

 

FEES FOR BROADCASTING AND TELECAST RIGHTS:

            Radio fee for all football playoff games - $75.00

            Live television for all football playoff games - $125.00

            Tape delayed television - $75.00

 

            All arrangements must be made through the game or site manager.

 

TICKET PRICES:  

            Adult ticket - $5.00

            Student ticket - $2.00

 

            If you are hosting a game, please use your school’s tickets, as well as, your start-up money.

            Players, coaches, trainers, equipment managers, etc. will be admitted without tickets.

            Varsity cheerleaders in uniform and their advisor will be admitted free.

            If a school has a pre-game sale of tickets, money and unsold tickets must be accounted for prior to the start of the game.

 

PASSES:

            Only 2008 – 2009 District 9 Passes (color – green) will be honored.  League and conference passes will not be honored.

 

OFFICIALS AND CHAIN CREW:                                                                                               PIAA certified football officials will be assigned by the District 9 Male Officials’ Representative. The site manager will assign the chain crew.

3.       PIAA football ranking system

At the October District 9 Committee meeting the D9 football committee met.  The purpose of the meeting was to review the upcoming football playoff games and look at the fairest way to seed teams in the class "A" brackets.

        Seeding process for the #1 and #2 seeded teams -    

                                       Winning percentage based on the nine league games

                                       PIAA Ranking system
